Program Overview:
Minnesota Tribal Resources for Early Childhood Care (MNTRECC)
provides services throughout the state of Minnesota in cooperation with Child Care Aware of MN and Tribal Child Care Programs of the 11 federally recognized tribes throughout Minnesota.
MNTRECC is managed through the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Early Childhood Development Division.
Funding is provided through a grant with the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Program Goal: Healthy, Thriving American Indian Children and Families
Program Mission: To provide statewide leadership by creating partnerships, resources and supports that serve to connect and strengthen early care and education for American Indian children and their families within the State of Minnesota.
Program Overview:
- Offers training in Native American Early Childhood Curriculum
- Native American Parenting ProgramOjibwe & Dakota Language Curriculum
Provides opportunity for tribal early childhood programs to purchase Ojibwe & Dakota Language Kits
Assists providers in becoming rated in the Parent Aware Quality Rating System
Provides technical assistance for the Professional Development needs of early childhood professionals
Child Care Wayfinder and Empower to Educate - assesses your needs and offer customized support to help you succeed
